In our purpose statement we believe that we are called to serve people compassionately in Christ’s name. Through our congregational care groups we believe that we are living out not only our purpose statement but our call as Christians to care for one another.
Deacons, the office of deacon as set forth in the Scriptures is one of sympathy, witness, and service after the example of Jesus Christ. Deacons are the hands and feet of Christ to those who are in need, those who are sick, those who are in need of friends, and to anyone who is in distress both within and beyond the community of faith. To this end the deacons are involved with visitations, memorial services, coffee and fellowship on Sunday mornings, sending cards and notes to members of our congregation, caring for those who are ill by organizing meals and other services for members of the church.

Stephen Ministry is a program of our congregation that equips lay persons to provide distinctively Christian one-to-one care to those who are experiencing all kinds of life needs and circumstances, both in our congregation and community. Stephen leaders are pastors, church staff and or/lay persons who have completed a seven-day Stephen series Leader’s Training course and are commissioned to lead the Stephen Ministry of our congregation.
