Amanda grew up in Fresno, California attending Clovis West High School and graduating in 1994 with honors. From there she attended Whitworth College in Spokane, WA graduating in 1999 with a BA in History. Experiencing a nudge from the Holy Spirit but not 100% positive that full time ministry was her calling she decided to take some time to explore God’s calling. After graduating from Whitworth College in 1999, Amanda took a position as an assistant Youth Director at First Presbyterian Church in Yakima, WA, where she served for 2 years before heading to Austin, TX to follow God’s call to become a pastor. Amanda graduated from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary in the spring of 2004 and took her first position as an ordained minister in Champaign, IL, where she served as the associate pastor for youth and contemporary worship. Feeling restless and sensing a call to return back to her native California, Amanda left Illinois in the summer of 2006 to join the staff at PCN.
